Question:
Where does the City of Rowlett’s water come from?
Answer:
Drinking water for the City of Rowlett comes primarily from Lake Lavon; but also from Lake Texoma and Lake Chapman (also known as Cooper Lake). The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) blends the water from these three lakes to provide the water supplied to the City of Rowlett. Lake Ray Hubbard is owned by the City of Dallas and is not a water source for the City of Rowlett.
